Our school works together within a prepared environment to follow the child in developing a lifelong love of learning.

MVM provides an environment that guides and nurtures the self-construction of individuals who will be able to define themselves, think objectively, make independent decisions, and live an inspired life.

Young Children’s Program

12 months and walking to 6 Years of Age

The Young Children’s Program includes the Toddler Community and Children’s House. In the Toddler Community, the environment introduces the child to practical life experiences, and aids in the development of language, movement, and social experiences. The Children’s House continues the child’s journey though stimulating language development and encouraging independence.

Elementary Program

6 to 12 Years of Age

The elementary child is characterized by the reasoning mind. Elementary children want to know how things work and why things are the way they are.

Adolescent Community

12 to 14 Years of Age

This program is uniquely designed to meet the needs of the 7th and 8th year students who are entering the third plane of development. Studies show young adolescents need a tremendous amount of physical activity, meaningful physical work, increased autonomy, and an environment suited to the development of a personal vision.

“As we observe children, we see the vitality of their spirit, the maximum effort put forth in all they do, the intuition, attention and focus they bring to all life’s events, and the sheer joy they experience in living.”

— Maria Montessori, The Child, Society and the World
